The Truth About Parasite Spirits

Witchcraft does not require grand rituals to open doors.

Any act that shifts energy, even something as simple as lighting a candle with intent, creates movement, leaves a residue, and produces consequences. And not all consequences are good. 

One of the most common is the unwanted attraction of parasite spirits: intrusive entities of low frequency that attach themselves to humans or animals, drawing power without consent and occupying a space that was never offered.

These entities are the cause for much trouble, whether physical or mental, that intensify the longer they remain unnoticed. 

What follows examines the nature of spiritual parasites, how they operate, what sustains them, and why they appear so easily when esoteric mistakes are made.

Understanding Lower Entities

People who deny the existence of lesser spirits do so because they were lucky to never meet one.

Spiritual parasites, also known as energy feeders, larval entities or entity attachments, are dual spirits that feed on decay and disturbance. Their intention is to generate mental fragmentation, cognitive distortion, and psychosomatic illness, to be able to obtain vital drain. Over time, this pressure translates into a gradual erosion of personal stability.

Much like narcissistic or psychopathic humans, their nature is exploitative. What they cannot create, they corrode.

These lower forms delight in making humans uncomfortable. Born from lack, they are not whole beings: their power has limitations. But this doesn't mean they are not intelligent nor dangerous. They know of to trick people and they don't miss any opportunity. 

The most common are low-rank demons that do not belong to true infernal hierarchies and djinn-class beings. Both are unstable spirits always mistaken for something greater than they are. They are the most common precisely because they are the most frequently invoked.

Parasitic entities rely on momentum. They thrive in environments where persistent stress and agitation are present, because those conditions keep them active.
For example, public hospitals are full of parasite spirits. This is why natural-born witches often feel uneasy inside healthcare institutions, especially when confronted with the characteristic smell of these places.

The same logic applies to objects. Certain items do attract lower spirits, like dream catchers, tarot cards, religious statues or figurines, demon sigils and especially antiques. Things that are handled repeatedly, used ritually, or emotionally invested in tend to accumulate a charge over time. Antiques are the most well-known example of this phenomenon. This is why many people feel terrified around old furniture without knowing why. In some cases, this discomfort becomes intense enough to develop into a recognized fear known as epiplaphobia, an irrational aversion to older or ornate pieces.

I would call it parasitephobia.

Vintage dolls are another popular place for these lost souls to take up residence. Their creepiness is a fact: they make people feel uncomfortable and confused. We can intuitively feel the uncertainty and the weird ambivalence coming from them. Why? Perhaps it’s because they resemble humans while clearly not being human. But the real reason is simpler: predatory spirits are drawn to dolls because they offer the closest approximation to being alive.

The Danger of Blood Offerings

When a lower spirit has made an appearance in your life, there is always a cause.

The quantity of terrible advice available online makes the internet the best thing ever to happen to parasite entities. Inexperienced practitioners now have access to instructions and practices that exceed their level, opening doors they are not equipped to close. 

Blood offerings are their own category of risk.

Human blood is a life force spirits crave. It is one of the fluidum vītae accepted by Lucifer and demons as an offering or as fuel for spellwork. The ceremonial use of blood is common in black magick. II is used to seal pacts and personal deals because of the intimacy of the connection it creates. Once blood is involved, the bond formed is not temporary.

Fresh blood is also extremely aesthetic. Its vibrant red color intensifies the ritual atmosphere. 

Demons don't need you to hurt yourself: a couple of drops as an offering is enough. Common sense does well to guide. There's no need to be dramatic, thinking that your rituals will be stronger. When blood is left in abundance on a sigil, altar, or ritual space, it draws the wrong kind of attention.

Parasitic spirits will come to feed on this blood orgy, and there is no stronger attachment than one formed through your biology.

Blood offerings of endometrial variety are not recommended. The reason is very simple - menstrual blood is nothing more than the shedding of the uterine lining and the biological evidence that conception didn't take place. I wouldn't say menstruation is impure, as Abrahamic religions affirm, but there is nothing magically special about it either. 

Some witches romanticize menstruation as the moment in which a woman's power is peaking, but not everything out of our body is sacred. Using your period blood for magical enhancement purposes is the equivalent of offering mucus or fecal matter.  Demons don't want it. Parasite entities, on the other hand, are always ready to take whatever they can, so menstrual blood refused by demons becomes a delight for them.

Be careful. If you are going to start getting into blood sorcery, make sure you have a strong foundation in your craft. When I read someone claiming that their menstrual blood is very appreciated by the entities they are working with, I can't help but think that the "entity" in question is simply a lower spirit masquerading. 

Parasites love to take advantage of these mistakes. And they will. 

Intentional Attachment

Voluntary intimate relationships and marriage between humans and parasite spirits are a reality. These are living practices in some countries, with the intention to form a constructive relationship with an entity and obtain their protection and blessings. 

What a strange world we live in. 

These spiritual shenanigans are known as divine coupling and, of course, they usually come at a cost. There's no advantage other than the spirit messing non-stop with you. Entities that would want to do this in the first place generally don't have any good intentions. 

Demon attunement spells were one of the most common - and strange- requests I received when I was active on Etsy. Listings offering so-called demon attunements were rampant and I often had to explain to buyers that there is no such thing as a demon binding or permanent attachment. You can't make a demon be forever attached to you. What you have around is not a demon, for sure. Sometimes the psychics tricked these people. Sometimes these practitioners believe they were making genuine spell work with a demon. They weren't, it seems. During that time, I had to remove tons of parasite attachments that had formed as a direct result of these services. 

Stay away from demonic attunements. At best, you’ll lose some money or have a bad moment. At worst, you’ll end up in a mental institution or six feet under.

Dangerous Spiritual Practices  

The art of conjuration is an open invitation to malevolent impostors. Practices to engage directly with spirits opens dangerous doors.

The worst of them all is the infamous ouija. Even the most skeptical people on the planet report disturbing experiences during a session. The most common answer when asked is "I would never do that again". No wonder. 

Parasites and predatory spirits love ouija boards because it is their golden opportunity to appear as the dead. Nothing good comes from ouija, especially when the intention is to speak with loved ones who have passed or your ancestors. Leave them alone. If you are a teenager who wants to play with an ouija board with your girlfriends just to see what happens, I promise you will be safer at a rave taking MDMA with 20 strangers. 

Homemade magick or DIY witchcraft is not safe for the same reason: there is no structure, no hierarchy, and no protection.

Social media and TikTok witches have created the illusion that witchcraft is harmless, aesthetic, and consequence-free. In reality, it is often nothing more than copy-and-paste nonsense: spells copied, symbols reused, and invocations performed by people who have no idea what they are calling or why. This causes spiritual exposure.

Fortunately, a self-created magical mess is easy to recognize. It usually begins when you sense that something is wrong with you or your home after performing allegedly safe black magick rituals. Strange smells appear without explanation. Insomnia sets in. You feel miserable, with bruises or small wounds appearing on your hands and arms out of nowhere. You begin to feel something watching you, especially at night. The atmosphere inside your home grows heavier over time.

Because of your own actions, you have now unwelcome guests.  

Energetic Vulnerability

Parasites build leverage by taking advantage of our lack of stability. A clean, grounded, and healthy individual is not the preferred target for them. These entities can smell misery from miles away. They search for depression, anxiety, and mental imbalance, as well as prolonged physical exhaustion.

Addiction, in particular, creates ideal conditions for them. People affected by substance dependence often experience visible deterioration, not only because of their problem, but because they have parasite entities around them. To spirits, their addiction proves the existence of weakness and lack of self-respect - toward themselves and toward others. From that point on, further erosion is expected, which makes them the perfect host.

Even drug addicts come to this conclusion over time. You can read it in rock star biographies. They begin to wonder whether something else is involved once their addiction becomes unbearable.

Even when the body is cared for, an environment reflecting neglect, stagnation, or disorder is appropriate for spiritual interference. These feeders are immensely attracted to negativity in any form, and dirty and crowded houses are luxury five-star hotels for them. 

Popular museums are a good example of the opposite. Despite housing hundreds of objects from different cultures, ages and spiritual contexts, they remain harmonized due to constant care, order, and preservation. Lesser entities don't feel at ease in pristine and well organized institutions. 

How to Remove Spiritual Parasites

The good news is this: strong and persistent parasite activity is generally rare. There’s no need to be overly cautious about this topic. It’s important to understand that proximity alone is not enough. A person can be surrounded by parasite activity without never becoming a target. 

Prevention and spiritual hygiene are the best ways to avoid the problem. 

Once the issue is confirmed, it's time to establish control. 

Can you just tell them to leave? No. Don't listen to the new-age occultist that advises to speak to lower entities, much less nicely. These presences don't want your unconditional love or fake compassion. They lose interest when they don't get attention and personal engagement encourages them. 

The fastest and most effective way to banish parasites is summoning the help of demonic magick. Lower spirits fear them, and a demonic curse removal ritual followed by a protection spell banishes the problem permanently. Demons have jurisdiction over restless spirits and they are instrumental in this process.

When build up a strong connection with demonic practice you don't have to worry about spiritual hygiene nearly as much. The constant presence of demons as guardians have a talismanic effect around you. 

After that, celebrate your protection. Create your own magical ceremony with a symbolic fumigation. Take a good long shower or ritual bath, and clean your home to avoid any residual damages. Have selenite in your bedroom. Burn rosemary. Release something to the wind. Perfume magically your space. Prepare yourself a nice drink.

The only terrifying thing in your house now is your power.
