Like money rituals, impotence spells are those I prefer to cast in silence: they are not to be used lightly, but they are always ordered lightly.
I'm never entirely sure about people's motivations for wanting them. Is the target an ex, and is causing impotence a way to obtain revenge? This is the most common scenario. But jealousy is also a factor. The idea of an ex boyfriend or ex husband having sex with someone else makes a woman's blood boil. The pain is awful. And the only effective way to prevent sex altogether is to impede the normal function of the penis.
I will explain the different types of impotence spells, what they can do to a man, and if their effects can be reversed.
Impotence Magic Through The Ages
History proves that humanity has been concerned with the phallus since the dawn of civilization. At least, this is what texts from the Old Babylonian period (c. 2000–1600 BC) with instructions about how to counter magical attacks on male virility suggest.
There is a reason: impotence is one of the most devastating problems a man can experience. Unless he is completely dead inside, any functional male likes to know that his private parts work exactly as they are supposed to, and on demand. Men are expected to always be ready for sex. When the penis fails to respond, frustration and distress are inevitable. The man is ashamed, and the woman wonders if it is her fault. No one is happy. Sexual function is indispensable and part of nature.
Ancient spells to tie up a man's nature were surprisingly elaborate, and not always commissioned by scorned women. In fact, these high-stakes rituals were requested by men with no apparent connection to the target's privates, suggesting purposes beyond matters of love. Why would a wealthy and powerful man bother cursing someone else's penis?
One likely explanation is political interests. The failure to consummate a marriage could make a union null and void. Casting an impotence spell to prevent a man from having sex was an intelligent way to separate a couple, but also to destroy political alliances, avoid the conception of an heir, and disrupt a line of succession.
It seems evident that, since the beginning of time, men have been very aware of the existence of rituals to curse their penises. The possibility of having one's virility magically taken away was clearly a serious male anxiety, and one that persisted for centuries.
It is no surprise that during periods of greater hysteria and fear surrounding witches, like the Middle Ages, sexual failure was blamed on them. In those times, erectile dysfunction could be attributed to the actions of women carrying the devil's semen, which would naturally affect their husbands' performances.
The Malleus Maleficarum, the infamous fifteenth-century witch-hunting treatise, devoted an entire chapter explaining how witches could impede a male from having sex by closing up his seminal ducts. Why would they do that? According to the accusations, their motive was to destroy the sanctity of Christian marriage. With an impotentia ex maleficio, love as instructed by the Bible could not be fulfilled.
The misogyny is obvious, but the Malleus Maleficarum also contains a shocking amount of accurate information about the elements used in impotence magic, including the use of serpents. This makes me suspect that, beneath all the fabrication and hysteria, there was at least a grain of truth in what they recorded.
Only For Me Spell
We have nearly four millennia of impotence curses behind us. With this spectacular history comes an equally spectacular variety. Impotence can mean very different things in magical terms, and the desired degree of sexual incapacitation determines the nature of the ritual. A sexual binding locates the most vulnerable part of the male's being and begins its attack there, but what happens next?
I should clarify that when I refer to impotence spells, I am referring specifically to demonic magick. In my experience, these are the only impotence rituals that truly work. It's cute to think that a candle in the shape of a phallus will stop the real penis from working, but this is not how reality works.
Demonic impotence spells are not shared among amateurs. Demons who govern infertility and sexual response are invoked together and the problem is cut off at the root. Instead of symbolically representing impotence and hoping for the best, our rituals attack all the individual components that make sexual function possible.
That said, choosing the right type of impotence spell depends not only on what you want to achieve, but also on the kind of man receiving it. The most requested ritual is the one that ensures your target becomes incapable of sexual intimacy with anyone but you. This is known as only hard for me or only for me. The name is self-explanatory: the target can only achieve erections with you, making sexual intimacy with anyone else impossible.
The psychological effect is obvious: he begins to associate you with his virility, sexual potency, and pleasure. You become the only person with whom his body works as it should. Over time, he becomes terrified at the mere thought of having sex with another person. He doesn't know why this is happening to him, but he knows exactly what is happening. He has learned to expect failure whenever he tries to be intimate with anyone but you.
This is the type of ritual used for womanizers and compulsively unfaithful husbands for whom fidelity spells are not enough. The intention is to protect the family and the relationship, but also the woman's well-being. Living with a chronic cheater is a threat to her peace of mind, but it can also put her health at risk.
Drastic Impotence Curses
Not all impotence spells are equally severe. Some just expel the sex drive from the male, causing "languid or faint capacity". Others are not technically impotence spells, but act like one. The curse to cause the semen to shed as soon as the man entertains "any amorous thoughts", is plain and simple a hex to cause premature ejaculation. At the end, the intercourse does not occur, because the target reaches climax before it can even begin.
The easiest to complete is the limp dick spell: the man is still able to have sex, but repeatedly loses his erection during intercourse. And when the client is feeling particularly creative or twisted, physical variations can be added: hypersensitivity, genital discomfort, painful erections.
The most severe and complicated impotence spells are those that leave nothing untouched. The impotence is absolute: the target becomes asexual, with no function and no physical response to stimulation. The curse cannot be reversed. It remains in place under the target's death. This is the type of impotence magic I reserve for the most extreme cases, like pedophiles and sexual offenders. The intention goes beyond punishment: it is also meant to prevent the target from sexually harming anyone again.
Can Impotence Spells Be Reversed?
Impotence spells are not only among the oldest forms of magic in existence. They are also among the spells clients most frequently regret.
Women request impotence spells during moments of great anger. Then, if love spells have also been performed on the same man, things get resolved. The relationship finds its way back. Naturally, they no longer need the outcome of the impotence ritual. They want the target's penis working, and rightfully so.
This is something I see a lot in my practice. Happy endings are common with demonic magick, which is precisely why you need to be extremely careful with certain hexes. What feels permanent today won't be permanent tomorrow. That impotence spell requested in a moment of absolute certainty is now something you desperately want to undo.
I generally make a point of never trying to talk clients out of the work they choose. I don't believe it is my place to decide what is best for another adult. Imagine going to a supermarket, picking something from the shelf, and having an employee tell you that you shouldn't buy it because they think something else would be better for you. Everyone would find this intrusive and irritating. I try very hard not to do the equivalent in my own work.
The impotence spell is one of the very few exceptions. I will not refuse it simply because I disagree with someone's reasons, nor will I try to make the decision for them, but I usually encourage the client to think about it carefully before proceeding.
As explained before, impotence curses for sex predators are intended to end only with the death of the target, but the majority can be reversed. However, this is not an easy task. Even the best surgeon in the world would never tell a patient that a complex surgery is guaranteed to be 100% successful. The same principle applies here. No serious practitioner should promise a perfect reversal of an advanced ritual. There is always a small possibility that some residual effects may remain. This is extremely uncommon, but it is something the client should be made aware of before proceeding with impotence magic.
Even after a positive reversal, the target may take several months to return completely to normal. Keep this in mind if you expect to have sex with him at some point in the future.
However, as I always say, do not let me stand in the way of your wishes. If you want to cast an impotence spell on a man, you are the best judge of your own situation, and ultimately, the final decision is yours. If you're happy, I'm happy. And if you change your mind later, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
If this man is a sexual abuser or you are absolutely certain that you never want anything to do with him again, I will usually give the operation my seal of approval.
When in doubt, I have a simple rule for deciding whether a permanent impotence spell is justified: if this man destroyed you as a woman, he deserves to be destroyed as a man.
